The DigiAddress code structure

Each DigiAddress uses a short, structured format. Every part of the code identifies a level in the address hierarchy. Together, the full code identifies one specific building or addressable place.

Country → State → LGA → Zone → Sub-Zone → Building

What each part means

Code	Meaning
NG	Country code — Nigeria
ED	State identifier — Edo State
1	LGA identifier — Oredo
AA	Zone within the LGA
1	Sub-zone
AA	Building or place identifier

Human-friendly

The format is short enough to read, say, type and share without long coordinates or vague descriptions.

Machine-readable

The structure is consistent, making it suitable for search, routing, address databases and institutional systems.

Independent of street names

DigiAddress can work where formal street names, house numbers or postal codes are incomplete or unavailable.
